Nests

We created a digital audio performance from the Strongbox workshops with material written and performed by Cockahoop actors and the participants. Via Spear and Clean Break we shared this with participants, their friends and family and the wider community. You can listen to it, and the scenes which inspired it here.

Seeing Red

Cockahoop partnered with Diverse City to produce a curtain raiser response to a performance of The Quick at Tristan Bates Theatre. Performers were drawn from Lewisham Youth Theatre, Clean Break Theatre and Playing Up (NYT). Directed by Claire Hodgson and Segun Olaiya and devised over one week, the performance told an imagined back story of the main character – a violent female offender – combined with their own experiences. They performed a 15-minute pre-show performance to which friends and family were invited. See free sheet here.
