The Strongbox Workshops

Cockahoop partnered with the homelessness charity Spear London, Clean Break Theatre and Clapham Omnibus Theatre to run a series of workshops with participants who have lived experience of homelessness. Using the text of The Strongbox as a springboard we worked together to explore our common and different experiences of ‘home’. The workshops explored places we feel happy and asked what choices we might make if we feel unsafe.

The workshops encouraged participants to write, draw and speak creative responses and Stephanie wrote a series of poems inspired by the work. You can listen to the resulting digital audio performance, Nests, here.
