The Quick by Stephanie Jacob is a new play which tells the story of Jo, a violent young female offender, who embarks on a restorative justice programme with the person she has hurt. It is about the power of forgiveness and the difficulties of achieving it.
Directed by Lucy Richardson, The Quick premiered at Tristan Bates Theatre in central London, where it was Time Out Critics' Choice for its entire run. The company, which included people who had passed through the criminal justice system, brought a wealth of lived experience to this project and its associated events.
